Chemical compositions vary by material grade; for example, ASTM A179 Grade A contains 0.06%-0.18% carbon and 0.27%-0.63% manganese, while 316L stainless steel contains 16.0%-18.0% chromium, 10.0%-14.0% nickel, and 2.00%-3.00% molybdenum.
